2.) The Parent/Child tour

You and your child will be given a brief tour of the school and the toddler community by the Toddler Coordinator. The Toddler Coordinator will ask you a number of questions to get to know your child. We will also describe the school’s philosophy and developmental goals for your child. We welcome any questions you have about the Montessori method and how it works at school and at home.

After your tour, fill out the application below.

 

3.) Application

Complete and submit the online Application  Form.

The office will call you within a few days after the submission of your application to inform you about availability. Space is limited. Decisions for admissions are made on a rolling basis as spaces become available.

If your child has been accepted to enroll, please complete the enrollment forms.

5.) Health Assessment Record

If you did  not previously include your child's health assessment forms with the enrollment forms, please submit the completed health forms. State of NY Health Regulations require all children to have a NYS Health Form completed by a pediatrician and submitted to the school prior to enrollment. Please print the form below and give to your pediatrician for completion.

  • Save forms as your child’s name.
  • Email as an attachment to [email protected].
  • In subject title, type “Health Forms for (insert child’s name here)”.

After the interview is complete, you will be contacted by the school regarding your child's enrollment status.

The Lower Elementary Coordinator will ask you a number of questions to get to know your child and find out how you are hoping your child will benefit from his/her time with us. We will also describe the school’s progressive educational philosophy and how it prepares your child for academic achievement and personal success. We also look forward to answering any questions you might have about how our philosophy can be extended to support your child’s development and education at home. We welcome any questions you have about the Montessori method and how it works at school and at home.

Complete and submit the online Application Form.

The office will contact you within a few days after the submission of your application to set up a student day visit/assessment. You will also be asked to submit your child's report cards from the last 2 school years.

To ensure the Montessori learning environment is the right choice for your child, we invite your child to join the Lower Elementary class for one day. Before your child comes for a visit, please submit the Student Visit Form. During our time together, the teacher will assess your child’s academic achievement and social/emotional skills through a brief formal assessment and through observation. At the end of that time, your family and the school will typically know if our learning environment is a place where your child can excel. After the assessment is complete, you will be contacted by the school regarding your child's enrollment status.
